Sedum (Stonecrop)
A succulent groundcover extremely tolerant of drought, ideal for roofs and rock gardens.
Sedum species are the main plant of thin-substrate roof gardens and rock gardens. They store water in their fleshy leaves, and late-summer pink-red flowers attract bees.
Uses
- Extensive roof gardens
- Rock and gravel gardens
- Wall tops and pot compositions
Care
Almost maintenance-free. Avoid overwatering; standing water rots roots. A substrate depth of 8–12 cm is enough.
Care notes
- Practically maintenance-free
- Avoid overwatering
